I read Karen's portfolio intensive blog and for a reason which I can't really put my finger on it offended me. Maybe I felt she was saying that there is something undesirable about having biracial children. I think why not mix it up. I mean it's been going on for centuries.
I'm not humorless, but the whole post feels unsettling.

It might be part of her culture, to want completely Chinese children. I know many people of many different ethnic persuasions who are like that, its the way they were raised.
I personally think that mentality is archaic - people should have kids with the person they love, who will be a good parents, regardless of what their background is.
I get the feeling that this girl is having fun with the whole thing, including her own expectations. She is poking fun at herself and others who feel the same way, at least thats the vibe I am getting. I think it could be a really fun project.
